Course Information
This course is suitable for everyone and has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.
The HSE see no difference between Physical Health and Mental Health, and UK businesses should have suitable people to help with both
Learners undertaking this course can be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UK is anticipating a significant increase in the number of people suffering from Mental Health in the coming years.
Our First Aid for Mental Health Courses can provide you and your staff with the knowledge and skills to identify and manage these situations, just like First Aiders for physical health.
This course runs over 6 hours spread over 1 day

We will cover a range of subjects including:
• What is First Aid for Mental Health?
• Identifying mental health conditions
• Providing advice and starting a conversation
• Drugs and alcohol
• First Aid for Mental Health action plan
• First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded the Ofqual regulated Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)
