Our 2-Day Paediatric First Aid Course is designed to provide you with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on training, enabling you to respond effectively to paediatric emergencies. Whether you're a parent, teacher, childcare provider, or anyone involved in the care of children, this course is your essential toolkit for child safety.
Meeting the requirements set out by OFSTED and the EYFS, our accredited and comprehensive 2 Day Paediatric First Aid Course is dedicated to addressing the unique needs and challenges of caring for children. You'll learn how to confidently respond to a variety of common childhood emergencies, going beyond the learning of the 1 day course by expanding on a variety of medical emergencies that may be encountered with children.
Course Highlights:
• Assessment of an Incident
Learn fundamental first aid principles, including scene assessment, prioritizing care, and the importance of early intervention.
• Child and Infant CPR and Safe Use of an AED
Gain hands-on experience in CPR techniques tailored for children and infants, including the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
• Unresponsive Casualty Care
Discover how to place an unresponsive casualty into the recovery position and provide essential ongoing care.
• Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis
Understand how to identify and manage allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and gain hands on experience in using an Auto-Adrenaline Injector.
• Medical Emergencies and Seizures
Understand how to respond to common childhood medical emergencies including febrile seizures, a common childhood emergency.
• Minor injuries and Bleeding Control
Discover effective wound care techniques for children, including cleaning, dressing, and preventing infection.
• Choking
Learn how to recognize and respond to choking emergencies in a child-friendly manner.
• Burns and Scalds
Gain knowledge on how to provide immediate first aid for burns and scalds in children.
• Medical Conditions
Explore various medical conditions that may require essential care, including Diabetes, Asthma, Meningitis and Sepsis.

The Training runs over 12 Hours

Certification
